Just like humans, animals possess powerful maternal instincts. Prieta, the senior mare, couldn’t ignore her motherly instincts when she discovered that her daughter and granddaughter had been left behind in the fiery stables.

Without hesitation, Prieta galloped back into the thick smoke, determined to locate her loved ones. She couldn’t bear to leave the rest of the horses behind without her family.

The inferno was sparked by the ‘Easy Fire’ wildfire that ravaged Simi Valley, California. Besides humans, numerous animals found themselves caught in the midst of the wildfire.

Unfortunately, Prieta and her beloved family fell victim to this tragic incident. Fortunately, she reunited with her adorable grandchild and guided the remaining horses away from the flames.

When she spotted her grandchild, it seemed as though she was indicating a safe direction where the other horses were being evacuated.

All the horses were successfully rescued and relocated to a safer area. However, one horse suffered broken front legs while attempting to escape the inferno, but received the necessary medical care.

With over half a million views, it is evident that we were not the only ones overjoyed by the safe evacuation of the horses. And, of course, we must not forget Prieta’s courageous and heroic deed.
